For 2 days the BOM had severe weather alerts about 200kms west of Cairns out past Dunbar.
You could clearly see on their own radar where the rain was, all red and yellows around Mareeba to the coast
and north to Daintree. Yet the Severe Weather warning was for well over the range west to nearly the coast line of the Gulf.
They lose the cyclones once they cross the coast as in Debbie, Yasi etc which could easily been seen on their own radar.
