"... holders in AZS that have sold and are waiting for funds to clear before reinvesting,..."

I know that you qualified that by saying, "Some investors like the cash first ...", but just in case there is the slight bit of confusion, there is no need to wait on funds to clear to trade.

In other words and for example, IF you traded/sold AZS or any ASX:XYZ say on Monday morning at 10:01 and traded/purchased an equal dollar ($) amount including brokerage, of RDN (again, or any ASX:XYZ), shares at 15:59, those trades would be settled T+2. The Monday 15:59 RDN purchase is paid for and settled by the same Monday 10:01 AZS sale.

I've done exactly that with RDN and others.

NB: of course, this is all predicated on the broker having unhindered (in and out), access to the account(s) funds.
If still unsure, check with your broker and if still in doubt, best leave it out, as ultimately, it's on the account holder, not me.
