The reality is most people who need a broker normally are too busy to fully study the market. Or dont absolutely trust themselves making the correct decisions most of the time. Personally I'm happy being completely in control of all my investments, but its because I allow the time to be able too. So a broker is good like a nanny is . But now and again things might go wrong. At least if you control your own financial situation you can only blame yourself if things go pear shaped. But each to their own. Whatever his broker told him means absolutely nothing. Brokers are a dime a dozen .
