Spot on, when I look at futures if the futures change is less than 0.2% then i consider them in BS range, meaning not indicative of anything really because they can change so rapidly.

I find that Dax and FTSE can be more reliable indicators, quite often the US futures in BS range but Dax and/or FTSE fully red then I am confident the market will be red next opening. (reverse is also frequently true too Dax and FTSE green and US in BS range and we get a green day).

Of course this a generalisation but from my observation it is more often the case than not.

Right now they are all BS range but all Red, so no strong conclusion but given current trends I would suggest a small down day is more likely.
