I remember a lot of these same conversations getting thrown around in the last dip.

Traders get mad and want something to ripple the share price by a cent or two, investors ignoring the ripples waiting for the wave.

At the end of the day you haven't made or lost any money until you sell, if you don't plan to sell until the next announcement with results in it (which I think is the majority of informed players) then the market dipping doesn't really matter. the only way the market dropping right now would matter is you've gambled a short term pay out and over invested, you're a trader with little interest in long term success or, you're feeding into the hype and getting worried about seeing red.

I'd rather we didn't have an announcement full of hot air to dilute the market hype when a big one comes out. We've all got a stock that spews announcements trying to drive hype which are full of crap. A big dog only needs to bark once for you to know it's serious business.
