You're delusional, talk to your accountant about your maths.

Basically, if you have brought your average price down by 25% after selling, you must have sold half of each parcel, and therefore you have a realised capital loss (on the first parcel component) that needs to be included when acertaining your overall position, success or failure, investing in coy X. Else, by your argument you could buy the second parcel, sell the first, and delude yourself that your average price is now only 2.5c!! It is for accounting CGT only.

Secondly, how does buying and selling the same qty of shares in the same market at almost the same time suppress the price??
