From jomo to zozo (ha ha):
Yes, Nicholas Darvas seems to have been a driven and self-made man.
He persisted with his professional dancing despite carrying an injury that his doctor told him should end his career.
And he devised his "Darvas Box" theory for stock trading all by himself, pushing past his errors and mistakes at the start to eventually make 2 million dollars (a lot of money in 1957).
One of the best lessons he leaves for us is, "turn down the noise of the stockmarket to become a better investor".
