Hello. I recall BHP in recent years paid $20M or $30B whatever it was for US oil shale (whatever it was) projects and then sold them for $10B (whatever it was). BHP also tried to make a number of very bad investments (such as takeover Potash Corp) which would have turned out really bad if they succeeded in buying. Even the biggest & the best over extend themselves. The good thing about Gina is she earns all that controversial cash royalties from the old man who controversially pegged the Pilbara iron ore.
