I am a Z1P fan and don’t necessarily think that they will be at all affected by rising interest rates. But people need to understand the impact to the broader economy. 0.5% doesn’t seem like a big jump but that’s a 25% increase on people mortgage repayments (from 2%). People have over committed to bank loans and will pay a price. I actually see this as a positive for Z1P as Z1P will help people manage their finances.
If rates increase by 1% well that’s catastrophic, people’s loan repayments increase by 50% overnight.
