the point was not that paying tax is a bad outcome when you make a profit, just that i was better off just buying and holding. Tax is a real cost of investing, a very significant one for trading.Yes well makes sense in super from a tax perspective, hence my comment. But I probably wouldn't be keen day trading with my retirement savings. I'm far more conservative with my fund, but still mostly in growth assets and geared funds.
