I didn't say it was "likely", but I certainly wouldn't rule it out as you have.

Klarna has a valuation of A$60b (based on their recent fund raising), whereas Zip has a market cap of less than A$5b. Quadpay has almost 5m customers in the US which is probably Klarna's most important market right now. In a year's time that valuation gap might have closed considerably hence why it might make sense for Klarna to move now.

Mergers generally occur between companies of roughly equal value or who already have strategic connections - this is not currently the case with Klarna and Zip.

I assume you are joking when you say Zip will take over Klarna.
