I'm the same, over that period I've always continued to question my thesis. I think the hardest thing to do as an investor is do nothing, which is an emotional challenge going against our natural instinct.

We've had a pandemic, US-China trade war, US election, civil unrest, regulatory & competition concerns, media pumping extreme pessimism one day to then flip to extreme optimism the next. And the random events will continue to come.

But if you bought and held plus did nothing, you would have made market leading returns that would make the top wall st hedge funds enviable. Plus at the same time capitalising on the tax efficient benefits of compounding by not trading.
