From August 2015 to May 2019 the Fed had something like 10 interest rate hikes taking the Fed Funds Rate Rate from 0.15% to 2.4% - over the same time frame the S&P500 index rose by 40%. The market is already pricing in a gradual increase in rates and 50bps in increases is not even a blip in the scheme of things. It is interesting how someone who has had some success predicting a market crash seems to get stuck in that mind frame. Michael Burry has predicted about 14 recessions since the GFC but he missed COVID altogether.
