I’ve done an analysis on the financials since 2018. Once you take away the blur of the “growth” costs (acquisitions etc) the numbers actually look really good. I honestly don’t know what the panic is about (Unless people invested and planned on doubling their money in a 6 month period - which is uninformed gambling or your trying to trade unsuccessfully).
I’ve also been tracking the unit metrics - which all look good. ** especially the recycling of credit which has gone from a factor of 1.6 to 4!
People need to understand the financial model of the business. Increased customers = increased TTVIncreased credit recycling reduces the interest cost per transaction From there costs like salaries, technology & even bad debts become more controlled due to weighting against increased TTV / Revenue.Then Zip will become profitable!
Everyone is screaming for announcements - to get fluff pumped into the SP for short term anxiety relief. The fact of the matter is all of these partnerships / new merchants need to result in increased TTV & customers. Without that it’s just bullshit PR that will dump just as quick. I agree investor relations could be better generally, but the realisation of these merchant partnerships is not going to be reflected into the SP without results.
Once the “Growth” stabilises - the metrics will change significantly.
The rebranding is a great result & (hopefully) now they can allocate the money & resources to drive new customers across the globe.I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit 6 or close enough this week, which doesn’t bother me - because unless investors understand how to read and segregate a balance sheet, it may not be the best read and can get caught in the tree shake - I’ll be happy as long as the shorting % halves as a result
Long winded, but don’t post much so thought I’d throw it out there.
I’m holding long for the record & IMO there will not be any takeover anytime soon - it’s too valuable.
