You need also to remember that China owns $1.7 trillion of US Government bonds so they are in a win win situation there also as in times of crisis the de facto fligh to safety is the US Dollar and it appears to be forming a cup and handke formation projecting 30 percent upside giving China a circa $400 billion up lift on its debt value.
Or they could simply dump all their bonds causing hyperinflation in the USA
