one of the benefits of investing early and holding long positions (especially for emotional or newer stock investors), is sentiment, views and decisions tend to always be more balanced and pragmatic than when entering on fomo, hype or at the top of any run.
even if a stock is posed to go from $5 to $10, but has ran from $1 to $5 in a quick time frame, most newer investors will have a mental barrier to entry based purely on emotion. It’s a phenomena.
this is also probably why there is so much hostility and angst in these threads, and why people struggle to understand how bulls can turn bearish
only time in the markets can reach people to have the same approach and understanding to equity investing
