I stated 20 million users (didn't specify them as being active). However, we can likely interpret that this essentially means there have been 20 million people that have used Zip or used a company that Zip partly owns.
The managing director of Zip Canada is convinced that it is correct and I do believe he would know more a lot about their metrics than some guy who spends all day on HotCopper.
Complete acquisition may come at further dilution for shareholders but let's not forget about the $400 million Quadpay investment that transpired into a valuation of 2.5 billion in less than 12 months. Zip definitely know how to transform and grow companies for return on their investment.
