however acquisitions don’t take it to anywhere near 20m users, unless you’re including zest (which I’m not sure we can as we are a minority holder - an investor basically). It also won’t trade under the zip banner

there is also a difference between someone who has downloaded the app and not made a purchase, made one purchase then deleted, and an active user.

$400m quadpay acquisition was the best thing zip did, and they should have (IMHO) stopped there and used further funds to grow the US, instead of (and at time of acquisition) twisto (circa $1.6m users), tendopay, payflex (135,000 users) and spotti (40,000 users)

instead of tendopay, they could have easily made a move for GCash which has 20,000,000 registered users.

zip are still eyeing up Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, so no doubt more acquisitions to come.

I am also surprised to see that zip rebranded quadpay in the US (rightly or wrongly) before APT/Square was announced and before affirm won Amazon us…

zip have not yet rebranded payflex or tendopay… but will most likely look to rebrand twisto and spotii post acquisition.
