Have you ever invested in growth stocks? In the growth phase, everything looks hype, speculative. All economic outlook is determined by consumer demand. After-all idea of GDP and growth is based on consumption.
Your argument and logic is right about inflation and its impact but your view about ZIP and whole BNPL sector is flawed because you can never see any value whatsoever in ZIP.
Unlike you, Square, PayPal, Stripe, JPMorgan Chase see it.
BNPL is just the start , what ZiP and others trying to achieve its more than just instalment features. If i can save, invest, budget, buy, send gifts overseas, rewards and deals, discounts in same app who wouldn't want it?
People just want easy and simplicity these days. Who would have thought company ranking photos in college would turned into billions of dollars? Its the consumer demands. It dictates everything.
