I take google trends as an indication only not in absolute terms nothing can replace management data…zip downloads for last quarter as per sensor tower is just 600 k in the US whereas the management has reported 1.5 million.
Zip has its own model and hopefully will be the first BNPL to reach profitability….and I am happy with the slow onboarding of customers in the US…if you start distributing money a big queue will emerge but the question is will the losses be sustainable….only the future will validate but in lending all aggressive layers have disappeared and I am confident that it will hold good for the unsecured BNPL lending as well.
Expansion and innovation provides me with more conviction day by day and I am sure that I am not going to sell foe the next five years…if possible I will top up every opportunity.
Have you checked your afterpay app…it looks shit man..hope Dorsey does some magic…lol
