Stop blaming shorter's for your woes - look at the information flow nothing is good and the business economics are terrible even before merchant surcharging and credit check requirements - both of which have been a long time coming.
There is unlikely a white knight coming to save you especially after they have seen how Block ( aka Square) shareholders have had massive destruction of value
