i was reading into the dot com bubble acquisitions.
Most interesting one was Yahoo acquiring Mark Cubans broadcast.com for 5.7B in 1999... paying something ridiculous like hundreds of dollars per customer when each cust was worth less than $50 - its how Cuban made his cash.... then the bubble burst and Yahoo was left holding this massive bag
Quadpay was worth the dilution to get into the US imo, maybe not at $1B but they needed to tap the biggest market.
But acquiring SZL at a 50% premium just to grab their numbers in overlapping markets is such a bad move... I'd be ok with it if they got SZL for cheap without any premium but I've got a feeling the banks are playing funny buggers and will pump SZL sp just to fk with Larry haha
