You obviously dont have any loved ones or a family. My partner does the shopping in October!! Black friday and Christmas sales were never a thing in the past.
Now people are shopping earlier to get the bargains. I remember going shopping a few days before Christmas 15 years ago and the shops were crazy. Now they're empty. Smarter heads buy online and buy early.
not to mention supply chain issues this year. People were actively encouraged to buy early
