I think there needs to be some clarification around announcements with ZIP as I've seen many posters (mostly newcomers in the last couple months) ask or say the same as your comment here,
@wombat74. I know you're not a relatively newcomer on the HC forum but thought it beneficial for anyone who isn't aware. They will give Qrtly updates but now they are officially in the ASX200, they technically only have to provide half yearly updates. So anything additional to the qrtly update is just a bonus.
Regarding Announcements:
1. ZIP has NOT made an announcement every month about their figures this year. In fact, they have only made 3 official announcements regarding their figures in the last 6 months which was focused on their first half year results.
a) Quarterly update on 14 Oct 2020 (which covered months July 2020 - Sept 2020) - Classified as market sensitive.

b) Special announcement made on Nov 23 regarding the first four months of the FY but more importantly, how big the month of Oct was, (which imo was just a push by the company to get some stability in their share price) which were outstanding numbers! Classified as market sensitive.

c) Special announcement made on Dec 2 regarding figures for the months of Oct and Nov which were OUTSTANDING, but expected due to the climate and acquisition of Quadpay numbers.

d) 21 January 2021 ZIP announce their biggest growth and future potential based on their half year results (which they officially release on the 25 Feb 2021) for July 2020 - Dec 2020. Classified as market sensitive.

Ultimately, ZIP is not for the faint hearted! The whole sector is extremely volatile and has shown this over the past 12 - 18 months. My only concern is that there are far too many retail investors who expect ZIP to do an APT and increase 1000% overnight! It won't happen and for stability, shouldn't happen! I'm not surprised at how volatile ZIP is with the comments here on HC.
Anyway, like I've always said, set your targets that you are happy with. If you try to chase the market, 9 times out of 10 you'll lose. Personally, I'm in for the long haul after taking some profits last month.
