@Sky234 The market is a weird and wonderful thing, but this is no conspiracy theory - stocks in the same sector tend to move in tandem, all things being equal - if one doesn't move up like the others, it will be bought up because it is relatively cheaper than the others as they increase, all things being equal I cant reiterate that enough (does not take into account the respective companies announcements, performance, anything price sensitive that would affect one but not the other - however there will be overlap e.g. Z1P announces huge growth others it would be estimated that others in the sector too would have experienced similar growth). Mostly driven by insto's and hedge funds and bots more so than retail investors yes(usually - recent gamestop debacle was its own thing).because they make the most sizeable trades.
