I can't even recall the name of this bloke on YMYC which was ASX based but I got the feeling that the people most likely to have been making money from the show were the panelists given the simple trend that used to follow their calls on discussed share prices, not the callers.

I personally just think that in the old days fundamental analysis influenced prices a lot more than today where the likes of free platforms like Robinhood and superhero platforms have opened the gates to younger investors who may be following neither fundamental nor technical analysis in their decision making.

adding to that the fact that with the likes of ZIP we are talking about a new industry with BNPL the saying " the past doesn't necessarily dictate the future" becomes very applicable where FA is not possible to predict what is going to come given the potential market.

it has really become the case that one needs to read the future considering tomorrow's consumer not today's and then pick tomorrow's winners and hold with conviction (for FA not TA)

I only hold a couple of shares (small portfolio I expect in comparison to most) but all are 2 to 3 year hopefuls based on perceived future product demand.
ZIP is my main hold and I believe strongly in Larry and Co
