Why did the SMH report that Zip raised money for a purchase?
They didn't even say that it was for a "possible" purchase. They just flat out said it would happen. This didn't happen with US listing rumours, whereby all media outlets said Zip is considering a US listing. Which for all we know is true. No one came out and just said Zip is going to list in the US. Unlike they have done with the "purchase" this week.
How does this kind of thing happen? Is it genuine information they have that they accidentally released early, or do they literally just take guesses and print it as fact? Surely that would leave them open to lawsuits though.
