It beats me why with so many Aborigines in isolated communities around Australia where there is vertually no employment available the government doesn't offer these people jobs before bringing in Pacific Islanders.
Not only would it give them the opportunity to make some real money but it would break their monotonus daily life cycle for a few months of the year during the picking season.
And being Australians they can stay in an area as long as they like!
I'm not advocating forced labour but gee, if people are happy to come here from overseas to work, its not such a big ask for people to move to an area where there is employment at least for a few months of the year.
