Not necessary all the time they want to prove point. But what they do is stick to what they said they would do, even if it means YOLOing all their life savings. I think this is the first time they actually had a united move to prove a point (e.g. GME, BB etc.). Other trades I saw there (usually tagged Loss Porn) were just gambling with options with zero regards to risk management and their savings.
