Understand your frustration Mike, and it's obvious you believe in the peppermint story. But is it more to do with the weak share price then direction. I honestly don't feel in the dark with PIL. I am very comfortable with where they are at atm and what they are telling us they are doing. I am not at all expecting large revenue increases while they are still in the phase they are in.
You have to keep in mind that this is a junior company trying to build up a business from the grass roots. There will be hiccups and successors along the way. As Gameplanon mentioned, they are addressing the conversion rate. They would also be testing the system for potential bottlenecks. This is what I would expect a smart company would do.
This recent interview Chris Kain did with Neal Cross was extremely informative (for me at least)of what they are doing and planning to do. As far as the trust thing, well that's certainly a personal opinion, But I certainly don't have those thoughts. He comes across as sincere and trust worthy to me, and looks like he totally believes in what he is saying. So I have no reason to think any different.
But Imo this is uncharted waters that if they can make it work then this alone will be a game changer on top of the fintech business (in a country still in it's infancy in regards to digital services) and eventual super app status down the track.
Chris kain has said they are rolling out the platform and proving it commercially, which he now said they are getting to the stage where they think they can tick that box. This Imo is vitally important and it's no wonder they are spending the time on it getting it right. Imo They don't want to go in half baked just because of outside noise, and a share price not in their control.
He mentions with the EMI now that it not only allows them to offer digital services, digital products and digital money services to all Philippino's but also off shore workers.
He said with the EMI they can now offer bank like services to those people operating outside the banking infrastructure. Something they have been doing on a smaller scale to date, but now!!! it allows them to really turbo charge the business.
He said they see the application for this platform across!!! the Asia Pacific region, which is completely empowered by the EMI (Imo Big Hint there, enter Neal cross!!!! ) Once again, they have to get the platform right first, then Imo the rest will just fall into place.
Now we already sort of know this but it's worth mentioning again.
He mentions there are 20mill plus people in central manilla but there are 110mill across the philippines, and a lot of these people outside metro Manilla don't have access to a normal bank infrastucture, so through bizmo services it now allows them simple services like paying bills, accessing E-Loads etc. basic services the we take for granted.
He talks about the people providing those services (guessing the agents) earning a living through it. So I believe this alone helps somewhat answer your question from before.
He said in the EMI announcement that they are soon starting work on the pilot program for this. So fingers crossed it proves successful. But just don't expect news on it next week, It takes time. They are probably still picking which agents to use.
So Imo, Once again I do understand your frustration, and I understand everyone has their own time frames with certain stocks, but as far their progress, there is plenty of info there to keep us all out of the dark. For now at least.
