Looking through the list of 42 (or so) non-bank EMI license holders you can see there are 2-4 firms that offer electronic payment solutions to organisations.
I think Peppermint closed the Mass-Specc deal because they are Australian (based and minded) and they obviously did something right in selling the solution.
I hope there will not be more EMI given out.
The delays, in my opinion, come from the fact that PIl is operating in a developing country and that's the risk all share holders take - together with the opportunity this holds.
On 02.05. they said they started testing with a selected group of people from two CoOps. The plan was to move into a 2nd stage bringing in a large group of members if first round is successful.
On 31.06. they said they are in final stages and about to roll it out.
I think it could also be that they need to run tests in cycles that include all different payment and transfer activities and this might take 3-4 weeks including review and fixes.
I am as frustrated as anyone else but I think PIL is as well.
