That is a very revealing article cerbera. It is about time ASIC shows it has some fire in it's breath, albeit in short gasps.
It would handy if ASIC could indicate via some channel or other, a "watch list" of Companies where recent trading activity has all the hallmarks of pump & dump. Giving shareholders with some genuine interest in the business plan a chance to trade on research would be a change.
You would have to ask, however, to what sort of scandalous trading levels would pump and dump activity need to occur, to get Directors doing some prodding themselves.
