But keeping an eye on trends in the sector for me is a must, and although It's just one of many aspects to a companies performance, it's still certainly one I look at for answers when a share price is drifting lower. For instance a previous yearly ZIP's line graph shows that even one of the first Aus fintech poster child's is not immune to overall sector weakness,

IOUpay looks to have similarities to PIL, at least in their business model that is. In that they to are an Australian based fintech trying to make it in South East Asia
DOU has a similar M/cap to PIL


Obviously all companies have their own goals and milestones to meet,(and miss!!!) but at least it looks clear to me that the yearly trends for fintechs are down, and PIL are not alone in that respect. If the majority were trending up and Pil were still down then that would send me a potential red flag signal. Fortunately that is not the case.

Interesting you mention Coins and GCash, because as a comparative EMI valuations our CEO a year ago likes to think that Peppermint falls nicely in between those two.

Obviously he values the EMI license a lot higher then the market currently does. I'm hoping he will prove right in the long run.
