ATU mines met coal. Can't make steel without met coal. Can't rail or ship silicia sand without steel based transport. Can't live modern life without either glass & steel

G1A mines predominately Lead. On a CO2 basis of comparing Lead based batteries to Lithium based batteries. Lead wins as it's
- large stockpiles of Lead have already been mined
- virtually all of it gets recycled. Lithium ain't getting recycled yet, due to risk of self combustion
- large amounts of dirty mining don't have to occur as grades are higher. Or it gets mined as a by-product

Other pluses are
- it's safe in houses
- it's cheap
