Problem is when you swing from radical far left to fanatical far right. You are in essence both extremists blinded by misguided ideology of ones own perception. In this instance no one wins and the one who shouts the loudest drowns out any contrarian view.

Much better to stay in the middle taking opinion from both camps to inform an unbiased perspective. It's ok to change your mind and your beliefs.
