Bruce in the AGM says that the DCCEEW gave them an accredited approval. So ifthe state approves the project then the DCCEEW will approve it. Bruce saysthese are apparently these are hard to come by now so requires duplication ofdocs to diff departments for other new projects.

VRX hasreceived confirmation from the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Waterand the Environment (now Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environmentand Water) for accredited approval under the Environment Protection andBiodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). Accreditation of theEnvironmental Protection Authority of Western Australia’s (EPA) assessmentprocesses means that the Commonwealth can rely on environmental assessmentsundertaken by the EPA for the purpose of its approval decisions under the EPBCAct on proposals that are likely to have a significant impact on a matter ofnational environmental significance. If the EPA assesses a proposal at thelevel of Public Environmental Review (PER), as is the case for ArrowsmithNorth, separate assessment by the Commonwealth is not required.
