“Currently the proposal for Arrowsmith North Silica Sand Project is at Stage 3 – Step 1 of the assessment process, with the Environmental Scoping Document to be prepared by the proponent. Once submitted and endorsed, this document will be published on the EPA website, under the case proposal information here:https://www.epa.wa.gov.au/proposals/arrowsmith-north-silica-sand-project
Information regarding the assessment process and associated time frames is available in theEnvironmental Impact Assessment (Part IV Divisions 1 and 2) Procedures Manual (Environmental Protection Authority, March 2020) attached to this email and also available via the EPA website here: https://www.epa.wa.gov.au/framework-assessment-procedures-eia
In relation to the key assessment steps for Stage 3, including the public review period, please refer to page 16 of the document and page 18 which outlines the statutory and indicative timeframes for scoping the proponent’s environmental review.”
