You're misrepresenting what he said there as the following sentence provides the context. that he is going to sign a good deal "for the long term benefit of the company".

what he goes on to say is he's not going to drop his pants for the first (likely chinese) company that comes along just to get a pump in SP. i.e he knows we all want an offtake, but he wants a solid partnership, not a pump and dump.
