Arion, the $30,000 per day is the time charter value of the ship (the daily hire charge of you like). So no, it doesn’t include bunker (fuel).
However, freight rates are quite transparent. Here’s what Geraldton iron ore shipper Fenix said in their Q2 Quarterly:
”Average price received was US$185.20 per dry metric tonne (dmt) FOB, which is equivalent to US$215.60 per dmt CFR.” So we know from that their average freight coast was USD 30.40/dmt. Moisture is around 4-5%, so that was probably about USD 29/wmt. On a 60,000tn cargo that’s “only” USD 1.74m.
