The carnaby cockatoos have been “big” news for yrs. Lots of studies and wrk have been done on them (esp the artificial nests due to natural nests getting wrecked by developments). A mates daughter won an Australia Day prize for her work with them. Were on the endangered list and their natural feeding and nesting areas a red hot issue for local developments of all sorts.
