.The AVR share price touched $30 in June 2022, fell steadily to about $17-18 early in 2024, rose briefly to about $23 in April, and has fallen relentlessly to under $13 now, regardless of any good announcements by the Company.
Two possible ways of manipulation are-:
. Opening and Closing price manipulation, where an order to Buy or Sell as few as one share can change the Opening or Closing price, and
. Wash trading, where one trader with two accounts, or two related traders, make many Buy and Sell trades through the day, with little net change of ownership, and therefor at little net cost.
Shown below are the Course of Sales on Wed 28th Aug 2024, when a large cross trade occurred soon after the market closed, and on Tue 3rd Sep 2024, after the announcement of the Scheme Meetings to re-domicile the company to the US. I intend to post the daily Course of Sales in this thread from now on, so other holders can see what is happening in the market.
The basic information, in black, is publicly available, I get it from the CommSec website after the close of trade. I have added the queries and comments, in orange. I query all trades less than $500 in value, because that is the minimum order for a retail trader on, say, CommSec or Nabtrade. I realise that some orders are filled by more than one trade, and that some brokers may break up an order into smaller trades, but doubt that this accounts for the many trades of only a few shares.
I am a babe in the woods when it comes to market manipulation. However, I understand that it is possible to subscribe for detailed market information services, to find the names of the buyer and seller for a particular trade, and the Broker who facilitated the trade, and then look for repeated patterns of behaviour. If anyone has special ‘insider’ knowledge on manipulative trading, we would appreciate comments and suggestions on what you see in the Course of Sales, including if you think everything is fine and above board.
