Hi Phil. I sympathise with what you are doing here. I see Algorithmic trades on the ASX all the time. I also believe the market is rife with inside information. I also think ASIC is a toothless tiger on all this. And the ASX simply allows it to occur. Actually I believe this sort of trading and "inside information" (if it is occuring) is the only reason many fundies beat the market. I have zero idea if this is the case here. It's impossible not to notice algo trading like this in many many stocks on the ASX. However all a small retail can do is pick yr company and the price you want to buy or sell - then execute. You can not as a small retail (which I assume you are) beat this shenanigans. You will not be able to compete against the big boys (even if you notice this sort of thing). Yes the game might be rigged. Yes they dilute. Yes they abuse CR Rule 7.1. There are probably 100 other things "they" get up to... All you say may be the case Phil !!!! (that there is a "collusive effort to keep the share price down") or it may be scuttlebut. However the real question is if you truly believe that the SP is being manipulated for nefarious reasons, what are you actually going to do about it? And if you do believe all this, why do you still hold if you think you will inevitably be diluted? If you truly believe all you say, aren't you better off selling then buying back in (if you truly believe in the story ongoing after that) ? after 1/ the dilution occurs then stops as the start making money and 2/ those responsible stop and 3/ the company turns a profit? Because Phil rest assured if the company does eventually turn a profit (and I am not saying it will), but if it does, you can rest assured all these shenanigans will stop. And you will have plenty of time to see it's not just a one off, there is growth and plenty of time to get back in....
This is Peter Lynch investing 101 Phil. Can I be so bold as to suggest you read his books? (Like one up on Wall St)
I am not saying any of this manipulation is occurring here. Or if there is inside information (I have zero idea), the point I am making is Phil, if you actually believe it, why do you still hold the stock?
