Actually he's not, he is illustrating the bleeding obvious yet here we are 10 years on - and it's all been staring every investor in the face for over a decade now, yet here some are - like rabbits in the headlights - about to be run over again. Yet nobody ever seems to call it out or say anything!
The only difference between this journey and the last is there is a new younger generation of rabbits lining up on the footpath. However, this time, they are not on an outback road. It's the freeway. And it's not a footpath they are hopping off, but the "sidewalk".
I know there is limited time in this world to digest all investing styles, learn the vagaries of the markets and observe the countless shenanigans going on. There are a few books out there that point these sort of things out... but only a few.. Others like Peter Lynch One up on Wall St or Buffetology or Roger Montgomery's "Valuable" give you some insights how to survive it. There are also the writings of Nicholas Taleb to give you an overall framework
Yet still the slaughter continues...
Maybe Richard Adam's Watership Down should be added to that list and be a better place to start?
Probably the greatest investment book of all time (and no I'm not kidding)
