In an ideal world, let's say I owned 100 at $1 shares in a company with say 1000 shares and it was valued at $1000. The company then issues 1000 shares at $1 and now the company is valued at $2000. OK I now only own 5% of the company not 10% but the company is bigger. My shares are still worth $1 each. In that respect I have not been harmed in any way. The point that I was making, that appears to be lost on some, (there are none so blind as those who will not see) is that this is a different scenario to say the Chairman being issued shares that do not in themselves increase the value of the company.
