Agree with you that slasha's comment that the company is already profitable is not something that's supported by current evidence.
However, you're also misrepresenting the cash position as the net cash position only decreased by $1.8m and there was an additional $1.5m deployed in the client loan book (1.8+1.5 = 3.3). So that 1.5m was not 'wasted', rather it has been deployed toward a productive purpose in deriving income for the business.
