tomuchtime, Hockey's approval for Saputo means two things. If Bega want WCB, they'll have to increase their bid.
MG's bid (and I'm only talking about their bid, not about other arrangements)is really dead. The AFR reminds us today that the approach to the Australian Competition Tribunal could take 6 months. Unfortunately for MG, the matter won't wait 6 months.
The only other arrangement in relation to the takeover I can see is for Bega and MG to combine their forces. I can't see Bega doing this, since the ACCC wouldn't, on their previous form, agree.
MG really need a rabbit out of the hat, but I'm not sure which!
