Yes! That's what she said. And that is where they (CN and her cohorts) failed dismally. They ( Mr mediaman probably being their legal counsel on the matter) had ( still have so it seems) have had not conception of what the action was about. ( for crying out loud... it's an application for a lien ....an action not based on contract!!!.... Oh!!.. but the contract says UK applies.... yeah sure duhh!!...). The Senegalese court would have had a myriad of ground to vest jurisdiction... and that's what happened. Mr Mediaman obviously knew better... amateurs.
Amateurs, and their arrogance is going to cost them much more than just measly 2mil. Mark my words.
Not the first time that CN came out, trying to be legally knowledgeable ( but totally wrong)... same happened with the PE situation... she was not even aware that they (FAR) was not entitled to buy the COP holding company but only the 35% asset which had to be "lifted" out of the COP holding company's various assets. Her words.. "who would buy a company without being able to inspect the books" ( words to that effect)
Have no choice now.. after holding so many years, have to keep holding this stock hoping for something that will turn around to allow for a window to get out.
