NO, the Bible says he was going to be raised by God, hence God would have been his teacher = end of story and no lost years. To boot, he was given the Holy Spirit without measure, to aid and assist in his teaching others, spreading the news. God's words are also deemed as Spirit = Jesus had the words of God without measure by the time of his Baptism, which was when he was sent into the world.
