I fear I must correct you on one point at least. DH had nothing to do with the oil discovery at Surprise. The recovery of light oil was reported on the ASX page on the 3rd December 2010. The appointment of DH as Chief Operating Officer was announced by JH on the same ASX site on 15th November 2011 just prior to the re-entry of Surprise-1. This announcement makes interesting reading since the summary of the CV is suggestive of a certain Walter Mitty. So far as the horizontal drilling expertise goes, we note that a report of 12th January 2012 quoted a sustained initial natural flow rate of 380 bopd from the horizontal bore. Not very far off the predicted likely rate of 420 bopd natural flow based on the analysis of the vertical core reported on 3rd February 2011. One may draw one's own conclusions.
