GM companies and their Frankenstein Fruits may just wipe us all out. At best they could well the the epitome of the ineptly named "green revolution". Where sustainable albeit low production systems were replaced with mechanized, fertilized, sterilized, de-natured - non bio diverse in-stable, non-self regulating mon-cultures that "hooked" farmers into a vicious circle that starts with adding a little fertalizer and ends in only being able to grow Frankenstein crops in ground that has been removed of all other life forms.

Transgenics should be called viral transgenics as these "special" traits the lab geniuses produce in their islolated white worlds, have been proven to cross breed and destroy the original traits of our heritage species - you know the ones that evolved to integrate with other life on the planet over millions of years.

Environment is not just for discovery channel on our LED HD flatscreens or for "eco-tourism" or greenies and hippies. Soon we may come to real-ize that feeding the world and bio-diversity are directly proportional period, and that we are in fact in a race to restore it, rather than keep messing with it at deeper and ever more irreversible levels.

What is the point in creating wealth, if we create a barely living hell for our grandchildren.
